FM Radio - Just useless

What a joke. I have tried it all, push the headphones in, pull them slightly out, tried my wifes phone, and two kids phones, all the same result, a totally useless waste of space.

you've got to use TRRS type headsets or the radio will work like crap. At least that's been my experience. I plugged in a standard pair of "earbuds" into the phone and the radio reception was crap. Bought a cheap pair of earbud/mic combo (TRRS type) and the radio works great!!!!!!!!

Sound is very clear and strong with mine. I don't listen to the radio but I like having it. My issue: Not being able to click through the stations I saved.

Just tried my Skull candy earbuds and my Sony over-ear headphones and both work great. wonder what makes a difference. I do live in the capital city so reception is not usually a problem.

Glad to know to try out a few earbuds, headphones. I haven't used the radio yet, but plan on doing so for football season. I go to all the home games but also like to have one earbud in so I can hear the radio announcing the players, plays, etc. Hard to what all the F is going on when your watching the whole thing, too :)

My problem w/ the FM radio and I had this prior to froyo update is when I use it, there's no exit option to close out of this app. if you just unplug the ear piece and even if you wait 1/2 hr and plug it back in, it's still playing. I will use task killer or go into system/application and end the process there and even though it's not showing anymore as a running app. it's still plays. I have to reboot to get it to stop every time.

Most android devs and even the original makers of applications such as the radio do not put a dedicated button, what you have to do is press the arrow key on the Evo, the little back/exit button. That should terminate the application, should.

Do you not see the power icon on the top right when you are in the radio app? o_O. If you still do not see it I can provide a screenshot. With a BIGGG HUGEE ARRROW
