Help Fm Radio Problenm

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any ideas, I have a sony xperia U, and live in London a few miles away from the transmitter, but the signal on my phone seems to be very weak constantly. I have also tried changing headphones, I have never had this problem before with any other phone :/

Any Ideas People?

Sorry for the late reply but one question, have you tried using another phone (same model) to see if it works the same as yours? This is to confirm if this is the way it works with this model or maybe your particular unit is defective.
