Root Folder shortcuts

I am running OA 2.3 on my Admire, love the rom. I would like to put folder shortcuts on the home screen to My Documents and a sub folder. I have done this before with my Ascend using ES file explorer but for some reason it will not work on the Admire. I can browse to the folder, a long press and I get a menu to select shortcut but it does not appear on the home screen. Any suggestions?

On OA because of holo launcher one can just get the apps one wants and put one on top of the other to create a folder.

I dont think you understood. But you clued me in that it was a launcher issue Moot point now i installed go launcher and have what i want. I have a folder on the SD card called Documents, and in that a Personal folder. I wanted shortcuts to both on the home screen.

please explain. Do i put two shortcuts to file explorer on top of each other?

we may be thinking of two different things here but what im talking about is on the home screen you can gets two apps. then you long press one of them and drag it on top of the other one. It creates the folder style of ICS

Did you use the lock screen feature. if so. unlock. add the apps, folders, widgets. then relock.

if I misunderstood, well nevermind. trying to answer quickly.
