I got my replacement MT from VM today. First things first, I rooted (was before) then put the OLD SD card in because it had no trouble at start up. It read my 1800 photos right away, as well as the 1000 song library. NOW, when I go to check what's on my SD card, it looks like it's reading it (all 9GB) but it has taken more then an hour or so, and I still have the spinning wheel!

Is this normal to take so long to read the SD card (even though it has a lot on it)?? I know that when I was backing up and restoring to my Mac that it took about an hour or so, but the Mac is fast.

Thoughts Please??

That's a lot of pictures and music but I would tend to think that it wouldn't take an hour to read the SD.

That's what I thought also. (This is frustrating!) I have 2 16GB cards. I have left the original alone, reformatted the newer one. It's still downloading (straight to phone USB). I hope THAT will work.

Finally found the solution! New MT still would not read SD card. So I re-downloaded Titanium Back-up from the market, put it on my INTERNAL storage...BADA BING! TB restored all apps and data. Glad that is over.

Thanks for help, especially JollyRoger87!
