Help Font on website is not rendered correctly..setting?

Hello. First post here.

I recently got a Note II, which is my first android phone after owning several iphones. I'm loving it so far. One minor problem I am having is when I browse the internet.

I have a website that uses Verdana as the main font. On my new phone, I have noticed that it will not render the text in Verdana, but rather it defaults to Arial/Helvetica. My son had a Motorola Atrix that would render the website font correctly. It also renders correctly on iphones. But not on the Note II.

Normally I would conclude that I need to add some code to my website to fix this problem. But the fact that it renders correctly on another Android phone makes me think otheriwse. Have I overlooked a setting somewhere in the browser settings on the Note II that will make it render the font specified on individual websites?

For what it's worth I have also noticed that this forum uses Verdana or Tahoma as the font (both are similar) and it also does not render correctly when viewing as a webpage.

Quite simply, browser is where Android lags behind Apple greatly! Safari is smoother, faster, and more consistent. Just my opinion.
