Root Fonts!

obzerve

Newbie
So I was doing a bit of searching but couldn't find much on how to go about switching the 5 system fonts (Settings - Display - Fonts) to something of our choosing.

Does anybody have any info on how to switch these out? I know there is the Font folder, but how does the system fonts work? Does the build.prop file or another file direct the system settings on which fonts to choose from some how?

I would think it would simply be a matter of dropping your font in the folder, seeing permissions, and rebooting. Of course, the font would have to be compatible.
Might have to wipe dalvik and/or clear settings.

What folder?

What folder?

Folder of fonts is located in 'system/fonts/'

I don't see why the other 20 or so fonts aren't an option for the entire system. I'll research more. I was wanting to create my own handwriting font and load it, make the phone more personal.

Perhaps there is a config file somewhere that needs editing...
