For battery saving

Nothing. Android should be doing it correctly itself. Most "optimizers" are snake oil and can make things worse. Usually if there is a problem, it is a problem with an app, and a monitoring app is the better solution to help you identify what is wrong and manually take corrective action.

Think about what your asking though. If its an application its going to use battery! Monitoring uses resources that drain the battery. The best battery saving advice I can give is put only what you must have on the device and adjust your screen dimness and sleep time. Read app permissions before installing them Understand why they need the permissions they are asking for if you don't know why then ask them if they don't respond don't use it. That's the best way to monitor your battery. Install responsibly use responsibly.

The idea of a monitoring app is to use it when there is an observed occurrence of unexplained battery drain. Not something to leave running all the time. Just something to identify the cause of a problem when it arises.;)

I know the answer to this one. The best application is one you don't have to even use; it fits nicely into your back pocket and takes up virtually no room at all & best of all; It allows you to recharge your phone anyplace anytime for as many as 5 more times!

Bottom black unit is rated @ 15,000 mAh which is sufficient to re-charge my phone (htc one m9) 5 times!
Top white unit is rated @ 22,400 mAh which is sufficient to re-charge my phone 7 times.

CONCLUSION. No battery worries ever. No apps needed. I have portable power to spare (for days).
