For me, It's all about the battery

I saw that that people in the Inspire forum have been reporting good battery life. I realize that the TB will chew up more battery because of the LTE radio, but it also has a larger battery (1400 mAh vs 1230 mAh). Can't wait to actually try it myself.
I don't think LTE per se will require more power. It's using a lower frequency so it may require less power than 3G to transmit the same data the same distance. I don't know the nitty gritty of it, I'm thinking along the lines of FM versus AM. Think 802.11b versus g or n too. Also, LTE will require less time to transmit data so less time the radio is being used. I'm sure the TB has better power management than previous models and add in new CPU and screen tech that others have pointed out and I don't see when comparing apple to apples battery life will be significantly worse.
Of course having access to faster data speeds will more likely mean it will be used more and then will reduce battery life.

I think I posted this elsewhere but it is worth posting here again.
The TB's Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC (system on chip) uses a 45nm manufacturing process ("2nd gen") as opposed to the earlier (also 1GHz Sanpdragon) chip in the Evo 4G. The EVO 4G Snapdragon is 65nm process and "1st gen". Comparing equivalent Snapdragons in that entire line up of chips between the 45/65 Qualcomm stated that change provides a 30% lower dynamic power consumption and a much lower standby power as well. The battery capacity reduction from Evo 4G to Thunderbolt is only about 7% less. This guarantees overall longer talk/standby/use times between charges with the TB (of course under identical use). Adding an aftermarket higher capacity battery will be icing on the cake.
Now that being said I should also admit the Evo 4G is one of the worst battery hogs around...
