We call them Christmas Beetles because they are like EVERYWHERE here during Xmas.

They smell like shit though :)

The real name of this awesome armor plated stinky bug is the Pachnoda Sinuata:

Are you allowed to use pesticides to get rid of that sort of creature?

I was startled to find out I was not supposed to spray pesticides anywhere in the field behind my house which spawns, nourishes and propagates quite a variety of huge spiders, beetles and stink bugs, snakes, rabbits and feral cats.

Of course many of those critters are food for the other critters, but they do tend to invade my property and house from time to time, especially the spiders:

I don't mind them, but my wife has issues with spiders, so I have to take them outside to the field and then tell her I squashed them. :rolleyes:

They make something for spiders like that, it's called a 12 Gauge!:D
 
That's a nice big wolf spider. Most of the big ones have fangs which will pierce human skin easily, which causes most of the discomfort for some people. The venom from wolfies might make you itch, but it's nothing like a brown recluse or funnel-web spider. :eek:

But I'm one of those people who likes to pick them up. My sister is the same way, but everybody else in the family thinks we're in cahoots with the Devil or something just because spiders don't bite us. :rolleyes: :D

It is an impressive piece of art work made out of scrap metal.

It is meant to be I think a Blue Crane or a Hardidar.

I am not 100% sure which one it is meant to be.

I think it is the Blue Crane our National Bird:

Hardidar's are bloody damn noisy birds... and they eat roaches too... damn bastards.

The metal Cranes are for sale at almost every single Robot or what I think you guys call a traffic light.
