For those that HAVEN'T received the update...

When you go to Settings -> About phone -> System updates, what message are you getting?

Previously (a couple days ago), I was getting a message along the line of "Your device is up to date".

Now, I'm getting this message everytime: "Check for update was not available at this time. Try again later."
 
I just checked and my phone prompted me to download 1.13.604. I am downloading it right now. According to Verizon's site, I was supposed to receive a notification of the update. I never received a notification for the update, though.
 
Mine says check for updates is unavailable and to check again later. It has given me that message since the 15th.

Thanks for posting this. I just finished downloading and restarting. Took a while. Rechecked system update and now get 'try again later'.

btw, not noticing much of a difference.

Mine was the same way no notification but when i went in and checked it said to download so i did.
 
Same here. No notification. Checked status and it told me an updat
e was waiting. No problems. That was early this afternoon
 
No love for me yet.. I'm getting the, "Check for update was not available at this time. Try again later." message.
 
it is true that for whatever reason the update notifications are turned off by default in a large group of these phones but the update will show up with wifi on. I checked for my update with wifi on, it found it and I downloaded it with wifi on

Wifi did the trick. Thank you very much.

Maybe Verizon rolls the OTA in batches on 3G so the network doesn't get clogged?

Hmm... When I try with WIFI, it just hangs there with this message:

"Checking for available update. Please wait ..."

I've been letting it wait for 5 min now....

Restart your phone and try the Wifies again. Mine hung for maybe 10 seconds. Or maybe your wifi connection is poor?
 
I just installed the update manually. I had no notification and wouldn't have known about it if I hadn't been reading threads on this site.
 
I read that there was an update for the phone to come automatically. I checked for it 3 days ago and I got the message of update service was down. I patiently waited and there was no automatic notification. I read this thread I checked for an update again and it prompted me to download the update.
 
i had the same problem and then i turned my wifi on and went back to settings>phone> check updates and it worked!
