Force 4G?

On my Thunderbolt I downloaded 4G switch. This enabled me to force 4g when in the middle of a 4G and 3G area and the phone would go to 3G unless I had LTE only checked. I downloaded this app for the Nexus just now and that option isn't available. Sucks because Slingplayer only seems to work in 4G. Any apps that would let me force 4G???
 
My options are:

WCDMA perferred
GSM only
WCDMA only
GSM auto (PRL)
CDMA auto (PRL)
CDMA only
EvDo only
GSM/CDMA auto (PRL)
Unknown

don't see LTE only. hopefully that's what the Unknow is. Won't know til I get to work tonight. Crossing my fingers.
 
First of all, navigating the web on this is amazing.

So, if there a 3G/4G toggle widget or something to more easily go from 3G to 4G without having to go thru the whole settings menu? Maybe 3rd party?
 
nothing in the market yet AFAIK. i am hoping this will be featured in custom ROMs, as it was with my thunderbolt. having an easy, permanent 3g/4g toggle in my notification bar is the one thing about the 'bolt i really miss.
 
No luck. Unknown just launches 3G. Funny thing is that when I use 4g switch it says my phone doesn't support LTE. Ironic.
 
Hi, I also live in a poor 4g signal area because of the many buildings surrounding me. I can get 4g sometimes but i lose it randomly. I'm coming from a Thunderbolt where i could set to LTE only and that worked perfectly.

I'm considering going back to HTC if this can't be solved. I'm very disappointed that this isn't one of the options in the preferred network list.

All work towards a solution is greatly appreciated!
