Sometimes I'll be using an app that requires internet while I'm on 1X (verizon's equivalent of edge I suppose). Because the app is still using data to transmit something, my phone doesn't switch to LTE even though I know that I just entered an LTE area.
This is a bit annoying because I end up putting my phone in airplane mode and then turning airplane mode off - only then will my phone pick up the LTE signal.
Is there anyway to force the phone to check for LTE without the airplane mode trick.
