Yesterday I dropped my precious Galaxy S2. :( The Screen cracked, and I couldn't see anything on the screen, it was just blank.

I got it fixed, cost me

Welcome to Android Forums, Matt!

The impact may have disconnected the battery momentarily, causing file corruption. A reset should normally fix that. If not, return it to the repairer and ask why this wasn't discovered during their post-repair test - they surely had to power the handset up to ensure that the display worked?

Thanks for your help.

The problem sorted itself out and is now fine, however the Vlingo voice search app keeps starting by itself, which is really annoying!

I'm glad you got sorted Matt. I had the same problem on the Galaxy S2. I read a number of post advising a factory reset. However, in my case, there was no need to do a factory reset. With the phone off, hold the volume up + home + power button all at once and it brings you to a menu. There is an option here to clear the cache. Just select that. (There is also an option here to do a factory reset but I didn't select that). My problem was solved also, so I hope this post helps others.
