Help Force close loop & stuck on Android welcome screen, lost photos

Hello, I hope one of you can help, please!

Background: I have a Galaxy S2, which has lost my google account and is stuck in forced close loop. The screen when I turned the phone on is the Android setup page ("Welcome to GT-I9100. Touch the Android to begin" with many force close windows on top of it). The phone has not been rooted and is a stock UK version for the O2 network.

It takes AGES to boot up now and then I'm stuck in the forced close loop.

I would just trash the damn phone and get a new one, except I have the baby photos from the first 6 weeks of my kid's life. Yes, I'm normally religious about backing up but things got kind of busy with a baby and all. I believe the pictures are on the internal SD, but due to the importance of the photos, I'm not willing to risk a factory reset, out of paranoia.

I've tried:
-wiping cache partition
-tried to get into safe mode by tapping menu button
-haven't been able to get PC (win7) to recognise device while in Odin mode
-When it's booted up it is recognised by the computer, but the disks only appear momentarily and disappear when clicked on, but the phone's USB port seems very flaky

I do not care a bit about the phone and am not trying to recover it. I just want my pictures. Any ideas? All efforts are VERY appreciated!

Doing a factory reset will not affect photos stored on your internal SD card, or your external SD card. So go ahead and format your device. :)
