Force close when calling

Cooper13

Lurker
Every once in a while, I'm getting a unexpected force close when making out bound calls. The "force close" pop up will show but the call still goes through and I can hear and talk with the other person. however, the screen is locked up and i can't even turn off the phone when the call is done (have to remove battery).

It happens rarely, maybe in 50 calls, or maybe it depends on who I'm calling.

Any help on this?

Sounds like software issues. How much space internally do you have open, how many processes are running, a certain rogue app doesn't close, just a certain app or apps playing a fool with the phone.

Had the same problem when using the speed dial calling my wife. After the force close, I could call anybody else with no problem. But when I tried to call any of my wife's phone numbers, I would get a force close. Then I would back up my data and perform a factory reset. The problem would disappear for about 3 -4 weeks then come back. This ssue went on for 4 months before I got another Galaxy S II from AT&T
