Root Force Close when I try to mount to sd

i have an evo that force closes whenever i try to mount it to SD... it is rooted and i dont know how to fix this problem.. help please!

Have you frozen or deleted any apps using titanium backup or any other method of freezing or deleting?

yeah but just sprint apps why

It can sometimes mess with other things but if it was only Sprint apps you should be fine. Have you tried going into recovery and wiping cache and dalvik? Also are you on the stock ROM?

its a stock rom so what should i do will deleting cache and dalvik mess it up?

No it won't mess anything up and you aren't deleting them just wiping them, do you know how to do this through recovery?

yes i do i install roms and root phones just didnt know this step would work i need to see if it does are you sure this will work...is there anything else

I'm not sure it will work but wiping cache and dalvik will fix a lot of problems. If it doesn't we will go from there.

Just to be thorough, what all did you freeze? Can you give a full list? You'd be surprised at the problems that can be caused by freezing some things.

froze nothing just got rid of sprint apps

Oh, you actually removed them; okay. I know you said just sprint apps, but do you have a list of everything you removed? Either way, wen exactly did this start?

the person is saying once i rooted their phone but i dont think so, we took off nascar, stock, football, nova,blockbuster i think thats it

Okay, just doing that shouldn't cause a problem. So, when you boot up, you're saying that the card is not mounted, then you try to mount it manually? If that's what you mean, what exactly is force closing? What is the error message?

ok when i mount the phone it tells me force close on the phone once i try to mount it, thats the error message that he told me.... thats all i know....and he cant take the phone in its on cricket and hes rooted so... i want to just see his phone and use anyones suggestions

Can you get a more specific error, such as the process that force closed? Also, do you have a card reader you can use to try and browse the card on your computer?
