Force Landscape Home Screen (sort of)

download sms popup,
receive an sms,
turn the phone sideways.

Notification bar works, Sense UI Looks pretty good sideways too!
 
This only works when you're receiving an SMS? Or are you still able to turn it into landscape even without?
 
Sorry I'm a noob, I'll figure out the screenshots later.

You can send yourself a text for free online and try it. When the sms pops up, turn the phone sideways and you can see that the home screen is rendered correctly. It goes back to portrait if you close out the message thought.

Just thought (some developer) you all might find this interesting.

You do not need root to take screenshots and are definitely possible. If they weren't possible, we wouldn't have our "Show your Incredible layout" thread. It IS a long process in which you have to download the Android SDK.
 
Hard to see behind the popup, but here it is. It doesn't render very well, all of the icons are smashed together.

I really doesn't look that good. All the apps are smashed together, I doesn't render to the whole screen (look at the toggle bar towards the bottom) I, personally don't, like the look of the bar at the bottom. My own opinion though.

If it worked properly it would look awesome, i love the look of sense, would love htc to fix the landscape of it, prob never gunna happen tho
