Help Forcing SMS that haven't been sent.

So I have this issue that is sort of annoying and it's getting worse. I live out in the boonies but I used to get awesome coverage when I had a blackberry. Regardless, I don't know whether it's the phone or what, but the coverage has been the greatest. Which I don't honestly mind because I send text messages and very rarely ever use my phone for calls. Sometimes though, when the signal is bad enough that it won't even send a text message, it will put it on standby and will try in a couple of seconds. If that's unsuccessful, it won't try at all. And then, someone will get a text message a week later from me and it'll be my old text message! My phone sent it, it wasn't backlogged in Bell's system or anything...

So I'm trying to figure out how to manually force the message to send when I see that I've got signal, instead of waiting on the phone to send it a week later. Is it possible? Anyone got any suggestions?
