Help Ford Edge Sync

Hi Everyone,

I have a ford edge and cannot for the life of me sync my fascinate to it. I turned on bluetooth on the phone and tried to add the phone on the edge, but the edge says no device found and the edge doesn't show up as a BT device on my phone.

I selected 'make my phone visible' on the fascinate, and tried several times. Any hints?

I use Ford's Sync and have never had an issue connecting to it. On your phone, turn on bluetooth and open bluetooth settings. Now on your ford sync, go to system settings, then add bluetooth device. The lady's voice on Ford sync will then say "Press ok to begin syncing a device", press ok. A code will be displayed on the sync's display. Now on your bluetooth settings on your facsinate, click on scan for devices. Sometimes it will find "Sync" or some kind of random looking code, regardless of what is displayed, select it, then enter the code. You should now be paired with Sync and sync will remember your device so you can just toggle bluetooth on when you want to connect and not have to go through all of these steps again.

I'm having trouble with my Taurus. As you might expect, Ford is useless. I sync the phone and it's fine. The next day, Sync says "no phone found" and asks if I'd like to pair it up although the phone, under Bluetooth Settings says it's paired with SYNC. This has occured 4 times over the last 5 days. My phone has Firmware ver 2.2.1, Build # SCH-I500.ED01, Model #Sch-1500. One thing.... I noticed that there is a setting under Bluetooth Settings that says "Visible", Make device visible. When I push it it says it is visible for 120 seconds. Is this anything?

I'm stumped..... any ideas? Thanks!
