Help Ford Mytouch and bluetooth messaging??

I tried to use the messaging system through MYTOUCH on my 2013 Ford Escape and it says my phone does not support messaging over bluetooth. Any ideas on how I might go about getting it supported or who to contact for a possible update. Running jellybean 4.1.2 I believe.

I haven't been able to get this to work, either.

I have the regular Ford SYNC system. I used to get text messages through SYNC with my DROID X and lost that ability with the upgrade to the GNex.

I get "Messaging not supported" even though the GNex specs page says the phone supports the Bluetooth message access profile (MAP). I'm on stock JB 4.1.1
