Format card?

Can you format the card while it's still in the phone and the phone is on? Not from recovery, but just by mounting the card and formatting it through your computer?

Quite likely a stupid question, but I just want to be sure

There is a format card function through the phone. If you goto Settings > SD Card & Phone Storage > Unmount SD Card the option to Format will be enabled.

if i format my card will i lose apps2sd and sould i take my stuff off my card when reformatting?

I'm not experienced with Apps2SD at all. I don't install more than 70 apps anyway, so I don't need it lol.

I don't think you'll lose it, because it won't format the partition. That could be completely ass backwards though, I don't really have a clue.
