Is is possible to partition a card (adding an ext3 partition to store apps via app2sd+) and then make it a gold card, or are they (ext3 partition and gold card funcionality) mutually exclusive?

Is is possible to partition a card (adding an ext3 partition to store apps via app2sd+) and then make it a gold card, or are they (ext3 partition and gold card funcionality) mutually exclusive?

As far as I know a gold card can only be a gold card if it has one FAT32 partition which fills the entire volume. Creating another partition will ungold it, but this can be redone.
