Formatted SD Card w/ No Back Up - HELP!

Hey everyone,

I've been having a huge amount of issues with my Hero since going to the 2.2 upgrade. In the middle of all of these issues I formatted my SD card before making a back up.

I'm looking for someone who can give me the generic SD Card files from the Sprint HTC Hero, mainly the HTC Sync files that were on the card.

Can someone please help me?

Hi there - I appreciate your help. I have the HTC Sync program on my computer, but the file that was on the SD Card that caused the connection is gone. I'm looking to restore those files that were on the SD Card... that's what I need.

You don't need anything on the SD card that came with the Hero. I wiped my card as well when I first got my Hero and all I had to do was reinstall HTC sync.

So all I need to do is reinstall HTC Sync on my desktop and it will fix the problem on the phone?

If that is all you did to the phone, then yes.

Okay, I'll give it a whirl. Do you know of any way to get the rest of the files back as well?

Not without somebody sending it to you or going to the sprint store. I was alarmed at first when I formatted the card, but I worked fine after I reinstalled sync.
