Hi Everyone,

I just purchased the note 2 on AT&T and I'm having trouble adjusting. How do I turn on 4G?

Also, when I had my iPhone I had no trouble sending or receiving texts and photos from a friend who has the note 2. Now that I've switched, I can't send messages or photos to my iPhone-using friends. I've tried a few of the messaging apps and I don't like any of them. Any advice?

Thanks!!

If you pull down the notification bar from the top you should have the option to turn on mobile data, as for texts I can't help you there I get texts from my daughter's iPhone everyday, you won't be able to send or receive mms unless you have the mobile data on

Thanks, gbsa, I was able to turn that on and it looks like that helped with my messaging problem as well. Ceca 321, when people with iPhone tried to message me they were getting an undeliverable message.

Try the handcent app from the play store, that's the one I use and Leah uses the stock one on her iPhone 5. Through 4 different android phones we've never had a problem.

Hi

Your friends with iphones are probably trying to message you using imessage. That only works with iphones hence you don't get their messages. They need to use sms.

There is an imessage app now in the play store for android, maybe that will help

They can't message you because you forgot to turn off iMessage before you switched from iPhone to Android. As far as they know, you are still on an iPhone that is out of service area or off. You will need to sign in to your Apple account and remove your phone number from it.

It is a painful process to switch from iPhone to Android if you have lots of contacts on iPhone. My family actually excluded me from their iPhones group chat because my Android will cost them money by not using iMessage. And I don't blame them... when you have 10 people on group chat, it will cause them $1 each when everyone said something just once.
