Former iphone user. MOVING TO ANDROID!

Just lost my iphone which makes it a (very) good excuse to buy the new Galaxy Nexus when it comes out in the UK. I am a bit worried about being able to move all my contacts (400+...) to Android phone.
I went to gmail to import my contacts but i can only import them (from window explorer) one-by-one...plus I can't find them back in my gmail contacts...
Can anybody help? many thanks
