Help Forsaken Temperature Sensor!!

Hello there! My phone is in serious need of help...and I must find out....is a new phone what I ask for for Christmas???

Back in May I had saved $300 (never again) and bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 through Straighttalk. This past month or so, however, its been showing the infamous yellow triangle and temperature gauge. It has NEVER gotten wet. I have been trying every solution on these forums (I think). Here is what I've tried.

*Bought a new Samsung battery
*Factory reset
*Cleared cache partition.
*Tried various chargers (including the one that came with it) and outlets
*Cleaned where charger plugs into phone

Unfortunately none of these have worked...Naturally since I've already spent 300 on it, I want to try EVERYTHING I can before I buy a new phone.

My phone has no problem turning on or off. If its off and I plug it in, it'll charge for a couple of seconds, but then stop charging and show the exclamation point inside of yellow triangle with thermometer. In order to get it charged enough to turn it on, I have to unplug it when the symbol shows up and immediately plug it back in. When its turned on, its pretty much the same thing. Charges for a couple seconds, says batt is too hot or cold, I unplug and plug it back into charger. It shows the message at least twice a minute, so you can imagine how irritating it is to charge phone. I haven't been able to get battery fully charged since this started happening. It takes two hours to get to a whopping 23% with this process....

Please, if anyone knows of anything I can do myself to fix it, share share share!! ANY ideas are welcome...

Unlike standard Li-Ion batteries has your SGS2's battery not an embedded temperatur sensor (or doesn't use it). The phone use an external temperatur sensor (near the battery?) for to get the battery's temperatur. That's the reason why a new battery doesn't help.

The phone is 5 months old - it should still be under warranty. Bring it to Walmart and ask for a replacement. There's a serious problem in that phone. (If you bought it directly from ST, get on their Facebook page and ask for authorization to return it for a replacement.)

Don't fool around trying to fix it. If you break one little thing, even if it has nothing to do with the problem, you'll void the warranty and they won't do anything for you.
