Think it is a port issue? Or is it not charging fully?
It's the port. It is a known issue with some phones of the same model. It will not charge consistently for me anymore (it will work on some chargers, but not others, and not the one it was shipped with). So sometimes I will plug it in to charge overnight and lose charge, or only gain like 4%.
Where are you charging it in?
A USB wall charger. This phone doesn't have any docks.

It also has an issue with the screen that just started, it appears to have some sort of dust collecting under the digitizer.

I called CS once, and got the run around, when they told me to do a battery pull, I said that I have already done that multiple times, and they askedme to please do it again. Then I told them I can't at the moment, because I am calling from that same phone. The dude I talked to was a jerkoff. He said I would have to call CS again. So I got my wife's phone and called again, talked to someone nice this time and they are sending me a replacement because it is still under warranty. I was just mad because the first guy was a moron and he pissed me off. I was much more satisfied the second time I called. And all together it took 30 minutes or so and I get a new phone. That is pretty good service, even if I did have to deal with some idiot for a few minutes.

Time to unroot?

I'm shocked they didn't have you do a factory reset...that is the first thing VZW has you do when you call for anything...

It is a port issue, I've owned other phones with that issue there is no way a factory reset would help it isn't a software issue but hardware failure ;)

I know, that's what I told them. But I knew they would tell me to do that, so I did it preemptively. :)

So how hard is it for you to unroot? I know some phones are easier than others and with a messed up port I could see that as a problem

It's easy. I won't have a problem doing it. I don't even have to connect to a computer to do so, but it is easier if I do.

I am able to connect if I set my phone on a stable surface and jiggle the cord just so and make sure it doesn't move once it connects. But it is a PITA, so since it is still under warranty I figured I ought to call.
