I was over at xda-developers and spotted a root for the Inspire. If you guys are interested, here is the link: HTC Inspire Hack Kit - xda-developers

I for one will wait it out a few more weeks. I want to get to know the phone a little better before I start modding and developing with it.

I thought we had moved on from that antiquated method once the one-click root was released.

Yeah. I don't see the need to root so fast. We need to learn to use the phone before we go off into development, IMO.

This is the first phone I have loved as is, our of the box (save for installing swype). I will be rooting and personalizing it, but I'm happy running it stock. Can't say that when I had my dx. This is worth the etf to leave vzw early (which att oasis half of in a biol credit).
