So...we all lost our s-memos by upgrading to jelly bean. Looked everywhere, asked everyone, no files to be found.
Today I USB-ed to my laptop (win8) to download some pics, along with the pictures were my lost forever s-memos.
Hooked up my i717 to laptop
It asked what to do with phone
Told it to open file to view, while I clicked on gallery
and there they were

p.s. the old s-memo files are .png files that my win8 program -photos- opened
