Foxfi

Has anyone gotten foxfi to work on there Sprint Evo Design?
Ive tried, but it says it cant connect and recommends that I use the bluetooth. Bluetooth, unfortunately, is very slow when trying to tether your internet connection. As far as Im aware of, Foxfi is the only wifi tethering app that works on unrooted phones, and my phone is unrooted, which is exactly the same way I want to keep it (I got a replacement through asurion :))

Look like foxfi won't work at all on either wifi hotspot or bluetooth. I have tried both; but won't work. For bluetooth, they said it will work; but on my bluetooth icon from my PC did not provide any option for "access point" connection; so that I am able to join the PAN for internet access. On the bluetooth side, I did everything successfully on both pc and phone; but the phone bluetooth icon on my PC side did not provide any option for access point connection. Someone said that access point connection is controlled by the phone side; so I guess HTC firmware block that thing.

I think the best is root our HTC phone; then I think it will work

By the way, I am able to do this successfully with foxfi and pdanet:

1) installing pdanet on phone & pdanet desktop on pc, I was able to get internet on PC through USB.
2) installing pdanet & foxfi on phone & pdanet tablet on tablet, I was able to get internet on my nexus 7 tablet through bluetooth on certain apps like youtube, etc;
but some apps did not work at all. I don't know why; like youtube I am able to stream video; but on google browser I am not able to browse or login to some website.
