I used foxfi on the phone I had before the avid, a samsung galaxy admire, and it worked perfectly except it would cause my status bar to force close. But on the Avid it says its working but none of my devices can connect to it. Does anyone else have this problem or know any alternatives? Btw, running stock rom rooted only with no bloatware. Thanks!

Yep. OK, lol. First off, I don't know of any ZTE phones that foxfi works correctly with. We have to use "WiFi tether for root users"... And here are the settings for it to work right... http://androidforums.com/showthread.php?p=5663929 Keep in mind that this Avid is the exact same phone/chip set as the Force (Boost mobile).

I use the phones built in app. Install hotspot shield on your computer. Free tethering.
