Help Frame rate problems

Hello.
I just tried out some gameloft 3d games such Avatar and Hero of sparta and i just couldnt play it.
every time im going in to a location with a grass,water or small things the frame rate is getting droped to something like 10FPS and its really hard to play.
i tought maybe milestone couldnt run it but i checked at youtube and seems like some guys with milestone run those games smoothly.
there is some way to fix those fps problems so i can play smoothly too?
i red something about overclocking will it help that problem?
or there is some more ways?

1. Make sure you have no programs running in the background and using CPU/ RAM
2. Are you rooted? Overclocked?

no im not rooted or ocerclocked.
will it help if i will root my phone and overclock? or make it worse?

If you root and overclock it will help a lot.

After rooting and overclocking from default 550 MHz to 1000 MHz my phone scores better than NexusOne with 2.2 in Quadrant. Before that it scored just above NexusOne with 2.0.1.

I'm running the GOT 2.2.1 SBF with MIUI 03.12.2010 on top of that.
