Free Bionic-should I do it?

Hello all. I just got a notice from VZW saying I can get the Bionic for free because I'm due for an upgrade. I currently have the X and have had it for a while. The X has been my favorite and most used phone, it's been rock solid.

I'd like your thoughts on moving to the Bionic. I'm not one to have to have the latest, I just want something that works and is very reliable.

Should I make the move? What do you like and dislike about the phone? Thanks everyone.

I think it's a great phone. I would say go for it. I just tried to talk my sister into getting one, but she went with the free Casio Gzone Commando. I am a bit of a phone nut and have had at least 30 different phones in the past 5 years. Most recently I've had couple different Blackberry's (curve's, tour) Droid Eris, Droid 2, Droid X, iPhone 4 and now the Bionic. I like the Bionic the most out of all of them.

Every now and then the data switch between 3g/4g/wifi acts up and you have to toggle airplane mode to get a connection back. That is really my only gripe about this phone. I was running the .905 leak for a bit and that cleared that problem up though. Plus this phone is on the ICS list.

I bought my Bionic the first week it was released. I have no complaints about the phone at all. I use mine constantly and it always performs well. I paid a lot more than free for it!

I say do it for sure!

I was a long time X user. I have rooted it and rommed it many times. It is agrest phone and now its my son's. On Thursday I upgraded to the free Bionic. The dual core processor plus 4g is an amazing improvement. It comes with 16g onboard and I put my 16g sdcard in so memory is huge. I also bought the Lapsock for $50. It is incredible. No need for a tablet or computer anymore.

Make the move. No Brainer!

I moved from the Droid X to the Bionic the hour it went on sale.

You are going to really enjoy the new speed (everything is done faster) ... larger screen (same size more content) ... and the four mechanical keys are gone.

Add to that ... 4G.
