Well her were i live i have shitty internet that goes out from time to time. Yesterday was one of those days that it went out. I figured let me give this free hotspot a go using my 360. I though for sure i would see a ton of lag and issues like that but guess what i played for about 4 hours without any major issues. I mean i did experience a LITTLE bit of lag here and there but no disconnects or major issues. I fell in love with my nexus all over again yesterday!

Lets hear your stories!

Nice! Had a similar situation here. Where my office is, I am about 1/2 mile from T-Mobile corporate HQ, so I get FULL 3G all the time. Our office internet went out and we were working on some production issues, so I fired up the hotspot, linked myself and 3 others to the wifi via the N1 and we were all VPN'd back in and working. No lag, fast transfer rates and all was saved!

Was sooooooo nice! :D

these are total win stories,

i've used mine for work as well. It's been a lifesaver already. Great phone.

I used my Nexus as a GPS unit and mobile access point for my iPod touch whilst we were driving up north somewhere a few weeks ago.

I love this phone!

Oh, I had to head to T-Mo corporate HQ down the road earlier, had my laptop, was at lunch before going, needed to send a file on my laptop to meeting peeps, but no free wifi... so I fired up my N1 HotSpot, Laptop, sent the file, packed up and went on with lunch!! :D

I use my nexus one's internet to play counter-strike and other fps games that are latency heavy. I average a ping around high 60s, low 70s, no joke. Weird how I have to use it instead of my dedicated internet, but such is clear.

I was on a boat that uses a laptop for navigation and it started to act up so I fired up the hot spot stop so I could google an answer and download drivers. Beauty.

I out traveling and found out the location did not have wifi access I needed. I remembered that the Nexus could be used as a hotspot. So I found it in the setting menus and spent 2 minutes setting it up.

Connected with my laptop, and bam I was online. I had 3G at this location and I was very happy with the speed. In fact it was faster then using the browser on the phone.

This is a great feature!:D

Nice; I'm going to try to play some Uncharted 2 this weekend off my N1 hotspot.

I've tried to use this feature more in my day to day routines, but I find that AT&T 3g reception is horrible in the San Jose/Santa Clara area. This is especially true at work, where AT&T reception is so poor that just switch on Airplane mode to converse battery life.

i done this twice so far when the power went out in my neighborhood. i love my nexus!

if i could replace my regular cable modem with my phone i would be extremely happy :), but i'm not ready to make a jump like that haha.

btw anyone know if t-mobile has a data cap?

I was staying in a hotel over the weekend that wanted to charge upwards of $15 a day for internet access, and was able to make great use of the hotspot. It wasn't lightning fast, but it was able to do what I needed it to do.
