free music apps?

No problem. I like Music Junk WAAAAY better than any other music app. I think it might be tied to Tunee Music somehow as they both come up with the same search results but I still like the style of Music Junk better.
 
The file I attached was an .apk (a phone application file) you should be able to download it straight off your phone and it'll you'll be able to install it once it's done downloading.

Or, if you have HTC Sync installed on your pc, you can download it, connect your phone, and it will push it right to your phone, without a hitch.
 
I suggest using astro file manager or titanium backup to back the app up for future use. I've still got music junk, and have wiped my phone countless times since it dropped off the market. I just restore it from astro each time

I'm (now) using AppBrain App Market. I think it does the same thing but I'm not 100% sure. I heard about it from the Evo forum on here a couple of days ago.

Appbrain does NOT back up the apps, rather it saves information for which apps you have so you can DL them again through the market.
