I went to the store today to upgrade, and the person helping me checked the website to see if it was a better deal. Turns out that the site has this phone for free with an upgrade!

I had the original Commando for a while but it got to be too much of a problem so I switched to a Razr. I've been watching this since its release. The reviews have been a mixed bag, that's for sure.

Of course, the used/nearly new price is fairly stable on eBay so I could probably sell it there and make enough money to buy something else if I don't like it.

That's my plan anyhow, mine will be here later this week. I just couldn't pass up free (actually $30).
 
I just printed the code off the website and used it to get the phone free at the store. :) Fiddling with it now to get it setup how I like it. Hope it is as good as the old one, as far as durability goes.

No luck on the dock and battery for the phone though.
 
Mine will be here shortly. Can't wait to test out "crash mode".

It does worry me a little..... I wonder if the phone has turned out to be such a boner that they are trying to rid themselves of it asap....
 
Welcome back to the Commando fold rjglenn. If you liked the original you'll like this one. Definitely go for the extended battery. It adds a bit of width and more weight than I expected but skinny isn't a capability.

I too had a brief detour with a Moto Razr Maxx HD, but a hardwood floor got the best of it.

Still no discount for existing customers currently under a contract. If my crystal ball was working, I would have waited to re-new my contract 7 months ago...
