Giveaway of the Day is a legit site that offers free software which changes on a daily basis. Today's offering is Aiseesoft Total Video Converter, which is a program that can produce videos that will work on the Optimus V. This program can rip and convert DVD's and most other video to the H264 MP4 format used by the Optimus V, and can also convert audio as well. It also offers some limited editing functions and an audio boost feature during video conversions that can be useful for the V. The version offered today does not rip Blu-Ray DVD's.

The registration info and license key are provided with the download in the file marked readme.txt which is part of the zip file, or in a pop-up that appears when the program is installed. Although the offer is completely legitimate, one of the conditions of the giveaway is that they do not provide free updates or offer free personal tech support.

This giveaway is available until Midnight Pacific time on Friday, February 18th.

There are so many online app can do the video conversion, such as zamzar, mediaconverter, Acethinker Video Converter, etc. They are totally free, why you need this shareware to convert video? Unless you pay for the full version, there will be a big watermark in the output video.
