Root Freeze Up When Attach USB to PC

Rooted my commando a month ago.
V6 Supercharge, KAK, and 3G Turbocharged a week ago.
5 times in the last week my commando has frozen (like remove-the-battery frozen) when I attempt to connect to PC via USB. Twice on Ubuntu 11.04 and thrice on Windows 7.
Happens whether USB debugging is turned on or not.
Anybody else noticing this behavior?

Workaround has been to use Remote Desktop app https://market.android.com/details?id=pl.androiddev.mobiletab&hl=en but that's kind of a pain and is slower data transfer.

mine does the same thing sometimes on both 11.04 and vista ( ) occasionally. sometimes it freezes and reboots itself but it has been doing it even before i rooted. still no clue.

I get an occasional random reboot too, Spike. But not when the USB freezeups occur....have to remove battery to fix that.
