Help Freezing after Jellybean upgrade

Since the upgrade, what has otherwise been a great experience is occasionally (about once a day) spoiled by a total freeze. The screen freezes and all the soft buttons quit responding. So far I haven't noticed any pattern -- it seems to happen randomly. Sometimes it lasts a minute or two and then goes away. Other times I have to do a hard reboot. This never happened until 4.1.2.

Has anyone else seen this? How would you go about diagnosing something like this? Any tips appreciated.

So far in my experience after installing jellybean, i havent had any issues with it. i have installed it 1 week ago.

Since the upgrade my apps have been really laggy. Doesn't matter what app, it just freezes for a few seconds when I open, close, switch apps, etc. If it continues I'll probably end up doing a factory reset.

Mine seems much slower in starting apps since the upgrade and hangs when selecting from the apps menu. Also, the Google Talk app keeps opening when things get stuck, like a default.

I also downloaded the new update, and my phone has been slllooooowwww since then, and it warms up quick! Today, the power was on, but not in use, so the screen, etc was off....I went to pick it up to call someone and it was too warm to hold next to my ear...any ideas?

I've noticed the heat issue as well. Standard use for over ten minutes and it really heats up. I've also noticed it seems to be using more RAM than usual.
