I installed Gingerbread last week, then factory reset my Captivate because of the tethering manager force crash issue.
Now I am finding that at least once per day my phone completely locks up, whether on my pattern lock screen or on with an application open. No button presses, no holding down the power button, not even incoming phone calls will unfreeze the screen. Each time I have had to pop the battery out and reboot.
This was not happening until the Gingerbread/factory reset. The only key changes I made with my apps is switching from Lookout to Avast and BatteryFu to Battery Defender.
Any suggestions?
