Root freezing problems

ok so i flashed koni's elite 3 last night and when i go to reboot i get stuck on the flashscreen. ive tried 5 times already and always the same result after i restore from titanium. any ideas?

Have you tried doing a battery pull then wipe cache/dalvik cache from recovery and reboot?

If that doesn't work I would suggest doing a full wipe, reflash the ROM, then use Appbrain to restore your apps, one at a time, instead of using TB. Sometimes errors arise from batch restoring apps.....even if you just restore apps and not apps + data.
 
So what steps are you following to flash the rom? Are you making sure to do a fully data and cache wipe before you flash?

I am unclear to why you mention titanium backup. You will not use that program until your phone is successfully booted with the custom rom.

I may be misunderstanding the situation completely, so please elaborate.
 
sorry for any confusion, was typing fast cause im getting irritated with it. ok so what i did was wipe cache, delvik cache, and a full data wipe. i rebooted into recovery and installed as directed by koni. which was install caulkins format all and then elite 3. once flashed i rebooted the phone. phone boots up and i updated my prl and profile. now i tried using titanium backup to restore apps and when i'd reboot my phone it would freeze on the flash screen. so as a test i reinstalled elite 3 and updated the prl and profile again then tried to reboot the phone without installing any apps and the phone still froze and i have no clue as to why its doing this.
 
What rom were you coming from and did you restore system data or just the apps with no data? If you restored data, that is likely your problem. Try wiping everything again, reflashing the rom and restoring only the apps and see what happens.
 
well thats the weird part. i booted up the new rom updated prl and profile. and before restoring anything i rebooted and it still froze. i was using koni elite 2 before trying elite 3. elite 2 i had 0 probs with.
