Help Freezing screen

My S3 screen started freezing up today. It does it when in Phone logs. A battery removal sorts it out temporarily.
I put 4.3 on it about a month ago, been running fine till now. I did a full factory reset after download.

It is throwing up an error;

process com.google.process.apps

Anyone tell me what all that is about, please.?

I wonder if the google part of 4.3 is ok, or is it the carriers overlays that is chuffing it all up?
Don't think I will have another sammy- getting hacked off with this phone now.
Apart from the phone, this Glen Moray single malt is going down well, :)

Since you did a factory reset, your phone should really be on the same level as the majority of people who arent having a problem.
Have you tried booting into "safe mode" to see if it happens?
If it doesnt freeze in safe mode then its one of your apps causing the problem

I've seen reports of this problem in the Sprint 4.3 thread at XDA and that clearing the call log will stop the freezing while viewing it. Which IMO is stupid and defeats the purpose of a call log but hey whatever works. Apparently you can't keep very many calls in there. Open your call log, hit the menu button, and then delete. It's worth a try.

Oh yeah sorry. I dont know if theres an easier way but ive done it by:
Power the phone off.
Hold in power button to boot as normal.
While its booting, keep tapping the menu button.
Once it boots it should say "safe mode" at the bottom left of the screen.
Safe Mode just disables all downloaded apps
(To leave safe mode, just reboot)

Done as Mydian said--looked at call message list, longer than Hadrians Wall. BUT, instead of wiping a few to see what would happen, I wiped the lot. Knobber!!! :o

Even then it froze straight after. A message came up then to say that google downloader had been disabled. HTF did I do that, or did I.?? :( Pass.
Anyway, got to wait now to see if it happens again when I have zillions of logs entered.
At least I will know how to wipe them, lol. Phone ok at the mo, fingers crossed.:)
