Help Frequent Dropped Calls

I keep getting numerous dropped calls while inside my house. Ironically I just got rid of my LG Optimus because I thought that phone was the culprit. Now I am having the same behavior with my HTC EVO...I had 5 dropped calls today...Also when I sent a text message I got a strange message saying:

Interference Resource Shortage
Cause Code 64
Error 2

Not sure if there is a correlation with the error messages and my dropped calls, but the dropped calls are becoming frustrating.. I have even tried different parts of my house.. According to the Virgin Mobile Coverage Map my house should have excellent coverage...

Also I do not make enough calls outside of my house to determine if the dropped issue is related only to my house, but I can not recall a drop outside of my house...

thats a known issue with the phone and htc is supposedly working on a fix.for now whenever you get it update your profile.i would also recommend getting signal notification from the market so you know when you have the error before you send a text or try to make a call

you can read more about the error here but there isnt a fix in the thread

if you are comfortable with modding(rooting) your phone you can try this.a lot of people claim it fixes it.

seems like i was just a wee bit slow typing this

I called VM and they said they have been working on my tower since since July 23 and it will not be fixed until October 21. This makes sense because this is right around the time I started to have intermittent service.

Its too bad I can not pull up a webpage that shows me towers being worked on...

VM told me the tower would not be upgraded unto 10/21 so to suck it up. Whats interesting is at home my dbm is always between -96 and -120...However, when I drove to the tower that I believe is the tower being upgraded it was always -78 or better..How is this possible ?

Is it possible something in my house is causing the interference like the router...I think recently I may have changed the channel ?

i didnt know they were doing an upgrade in your area.you can find out which towers have been updated and what ones are planned for the future here
https://network.sprint.com/

odds are the interference is getting from the tower to you.you can install opensignalmaps from the apps store to see what tower you connect to but it isnt always accurate.if it does work properly for you you should then be able to determine if there is interference getting from the tower to you.

What do you mean how is this possible? Lower number for example -78 indicates a stronger signal than -96 or -120. Btw -120 basically means you don't have any signal.
