Root Fresh 0.3 for Evo is out

I'm running fresh 0.3, is there anyway to update to 0.5.3 without whiping all of my apps and data? Im sick and tired of having to setup everything again and again.

flash the rom yes. but no, your settings will not be there. any custom slates, apps, or icons will need to be setup again.

Download Titanium backup from the market. Assuming you are currently rooted, it will backup all your apps and settings.
