Frf91 ota!

Hey BIG MERF the link to FRF91 provided in that link you gave us above...will that work with all android builds? Im on FRF85B now with Rogers network.

I also noticed 2 different files to FRF85B. One was like 44mb and the other was 88mb
I currently installed the 88mb one, but does anyone know the difference, if there even is one?
The link in that link only works for FRF85B to FRF91.
The files your talking about will probably be for FRF50 to 85 and 2.1 (ATT or Tmo) to 85 respectively, given the filesize.

I just noticed the new update on phandroid so I immediately downloaded the update and did the manual patch. There's no real point in waiting for the OTA unless you are afraid of the bleeding edge.

I'm on T-Mobile in Columbus, Ohio and just received FRF91 OTA after doing a 'check in' with the network. This is the first OTA update I've received, although I've manually installed each available update through FRF85b.

Just wanted to report im on the Rogers Network in Alberta and I just recieved my OTA update for FRF91 at around 10pm. I did a *#*#checkin#*#*

YAY!!
lol

Just received my OTA on TMO using check. I have been checking for days. Waiting for complete download.
From what version did you updated to?

I have two brand new Nexus One that came pre-installed with ERD79.
Ever since both are stuck with ERD79 not even an update to 2.1 update1.

No OTA at all.

i got my 2.1 update within a day or two of everyone else. just wondering where my froyo updates are.

Looks like the FRF85 was not the final Froyo update.
Either that or they found a major bug on the FRF85 and very fast corrected it.

Whatever the reason is FRF91 is now rolling out and you are very lucky who got it.

Most of use are still waiting to get any Froyo update.

Why don't you just manually update?

I don't get it... why wait?

I just went straight from FRF50 to FRF91 OTA( Wifi-only ).
I was at FRF50 from a manual install as soon as it was availabe and wanted to wait to see if a real OTA would hit with a WiFi only N1. It did.

Literally just got it so not any testing but the volume might have been notched up a bit. Just got an email notification and it seemed louder. It's 10:10 so it must be good. Everything happens at 10:10. ;-)

What I don't understand with 2.2 is why applications i killed with advanced task killer keep starting up again by themselves moments later without me opening the applications e.g. one game in particular - battle for mars, gesture search, wisync, buzzoff etc. It didn't use to happen under 2.1

Don't bother with a task killer. Android can look after it's own processes well enough.

Just received and installed the OTA from T Mobile in the Atlanta area. I already had 85 so I will be looking to see if there are any major changes to 91!

Indeed, especially with froyo now that we've got so much more memory, a taskkiller has become almost completely obsolete. I'm still monitoring my apps to see how they're holding up in froyo (xScope doesn't seem 100% compatible), but I'm not killing anything anymore since eclair.

I literally installed FRF91 and went to bed, so have not played with it at all, we'll see, today is going to be a busy day... :)

Sent from your worst nightmare.

Heh, Google is such a complex company. Most enterprises roll out one update each 6 months if you're lucky. Google seems to be sending them out in bunches :p

You've not installed the wrong zip :) It wouldn't let you do that.

You could try something though, fire up recovery and try the wipe cache option. This seems to have helped a fair few people out with things. While you're in recovery, get FRF91 loaded up as well :D
