FRG22D Improved Audio?

After 2.2 Slacker and Pandora sounded absolutely terrible. Just received FRG22D and seems like Slacker sounds as good as it did before the original 2.2 update.

Is it just my imagination?

It might - I haven't delved too deeply, but my understanding is that the use of the new stagefright settings for audio codecs was disabled in FRG22x
