Root FRG83D update not being blocked

I'm not new to blocking OTA updates and I've checked all the other threads about blocking it, and I've been through the process of changing my build in root explorer, but I keep getting the update notification and it's pissing me off having to dismiss it every 20 minutes. Any idea how to stop it?

Can you post the exact changes you made to the build.prop file? It might help to see what yours says. Also there is a post with the step by step details for this update at the link below:

The other option is to flash an alternate recovery and then accept the update. The alternate recovery will block it. Though personally I would try and do it through the buil.prop file if you want to stay totally stock.
 
thats my favorite excuse when im fixing someones PC and make a silly mistake. "oh one of my numbers was off"
