Friend Found A Droid X

So, i have a friend who found a droid X. (i swear this isnt me)
She called to activate it, and it was reported stolen.

Anyone know of a way to get around this? Maybe root?

Your friend is a thief. If she will steal this phone from a stranger, she will eventually be stealing from you.

Some harsh replies, however they are basically correct.

Basically, the phone cannot be used and getting around it would be something that we simply do not allow to be discussed on this forum.

Her best bet, give the phone back to Verizon so that they can give it to the proper owner.
