Help Friends aren't receiving some of my texts...

Drigwa

Lurker
I can send texts, but it happens that like a quarter of my texts don't make it to their recipients. Is this a vm problem or a hardware problem or a software problem? I'm using G60's CM7 and Go SMS... Any ideas?

I have run into this.. For me, yes it was a VM problem. They told me it was due to high volume of texts in my area.
Though most of the time my friends eventually received them sometimes from 40 min to 6 hours later... confusing the heck out of them haha

I couldn't take it anymore and I have gone to a new carrier. But no one beats VM rates, I do miss my $25 a month

Hope this was of help to you

I have never used Go SMS but I do know that on VM, you need to have SMS splitting turned on on your messaging application. VM does not automatically split long SMS messages and so it needs to be done by the messaging application. Otherwise long text messages will act like they are being sent but they will never arrive.

i personally dont really run into this issue

usually even tho the phone is already set to it

i go into wireless and to home networks, and re select CDMA/EvDo even tho it should already be set to that

then i go into messages>settings, and open up and select ok on all the different message options, like text message length, multimedia message limit, sms limit

oh also turn on Split SMS messages

and then restart the phone, and i typically only see that people i send messages to may get them late, but they do get them
