Root from meanrom to meanbean??

hello again

quick question as i havent rooted or messed with my phone for about a year but i wanted to upgrade to something different

rooted with meanrom ics 6.5

s-on

hboot at 1.15

do i have to somehow get the phone to s-off again before i reflash or can i just wipe and reflash with something else? like meanbean or Viper??

well with meanbean and the latest viper you will need to upgrade your firmware. since you are s-on with an older hboot, you are not on the latest firmware and will need to either get s-off or relocked the bootloader, accept the ota, unlock the bootloader, install recovery, and finally flash your rom.

also make sure to read the op for both meanbean and viper. it will tell you what the requiements are as well as what is recommended.

well we are here if you need us. personally i would look into getting s-off. it is much easier to update everything then being s-on.
